July 16th Newsletter

Hey there Everyone,

The Forum is coming up fast!  Abstracts are due by Tues July 21.  You can submit your abstract by clicking on this link to our webpage.  If you are looking for info on how to make a poster in powerpoint, click here.

The Forum itself is on Thurs July 30.  We are excited to learn about what all of you have been up to and we know you will do a great job.

After the Forum there will be a BBQ!  Jackson Brothers Catering will be cooking hamburgers, chicken, and hotdogs.  The Megan Boyer Band will be entertaining us during the BBQ with Blues and Contemporary Roots music.

July 9th Newsletter

Just a few reminders:

• There will be no seminar this thurs July 2nd and Friday July 3rd is a holiday!
• The seminar next Thurs July 9th is MANDATORY.  You will be learning about the resources available to you for making your posters, among other things.
• Don’t forget Poker night on Wed July 8th at 6pm in room 121.

July 2nd Newsletter

Hi everyone,

This friday the PGI meeting has been moved to room 121.  The following weeks the PGI meetings will be in Room 107.

Don’t forget Movie night this wednesday in the Monsanto Auditorium at 6pm.  The movie 21 is showing.

Thanks to everyone that came to the ice cream social last night.

Unfortunately the Eric Hutchinson concert had to be canceled due to weather, but the city is going to try to reschedule.

On other news the last two news letters are available below.  You will be recieving this week’s newsletter on Friday instead of the usual Thursday, so if you need any info you can download the newsletter below.

Last night’s BBQ was a success despite having been moved inside.  Team TGLKHL won the trivia contest and each team member recieved certificates for $5 work of ice cream from Buck’s Ice cream. Other participants recieved starbucks gift cards for winning the shout out questions.

If these prizes sound good to you, come to Wednesday’s Ice Cream Social in the LSC Atrium from 5-7.

After that head on over to the free Eric Hutchinson concert at Peace park (between elm and conley streets and 9th and 6th streets).

Due to the weather the BBQ will be in the lobby of the Life Science’s Building.  In addition to food, there will be a trivia contest.  Don’t let the weather get you down, come to the new BBQ location!
