Student Fellowships for eResearch

For Winter term 2008 the Center for eResearch will award approximately six fellowships of $1,000 each to undergraduate or graduate students engaged in internet-based research with a faculty mentor. Student applicants can be based in any of MU’s schools and colleges; the only condition is that they work under the active supervision of a faculty member on a project pursued jointly.

Successful applicants will attend the eResearch seminar, which will meet weekly for one hour, and make one presentation on their projects during the course of the semester.

Go here for further information, sample topics from the present seminar and application forms.

The deadline for electronic submissions is Friday, November 16, and notification of results will be sent via e-mail on the morning of Tuesday, November 30. For questions about the program e-mail John Foley, director of the Center for eResearch, or give him a call at 882-9720.
